who are you calling a bumbo??

so, we had heard about this nifty chair that u could get for your infant that would allow for them to sit up once they have enough strength in their neck to hold their head up. but, didn't buy one b/c a few of our friends said that their babies really didn't take to it. one of those friends was jen & del - since catherine (their baby) has outgrown the bumbo, they were kind enough to lend it to us. so, we were a little unsure as to how avi would respond. it's funny how we were so, so excited the first time we put the little guy into this rubber chair since we were so accustomed to only seeing him on his back. but, it was the most comical thing ever! when we plopped him in, he immediately had a new vantage point to take in his surroundings and you could see the bewilderment setting in! in some regards it looked like he was seeing a whole new world! this was soon followed by a chorus of coo's, smiles, and the occasional laugh! and once we dropped a few of his fav toys into his hands - it was on! i think its pretty safe to say the bumbo is here to stay!
