these two curious characters are becoming such good companions its comical. at times neither of them even acknowledge each other, while other times we find them playing tug-a-war. when avi starts to show his dark side and grumpy avi takes over, it never fails that if we call kiya over, he is a changed man and immediately cracks a smile. in fact, i'm pretty sure avi is uttering his first words to her...we have heard him call her on numerous occasions, except in his mind, her name is "ki"! kiya is quite vocal for a lab and every so often her barking can get annoying. on those occasions, we try our best to correct her - well, avi has caught on to this and has decided to join in on the disciplining. since harshna and i have tried our best to avoid using the word "no" when correcting avi, he is corrected by us saying "ah, ah, ah". that very same "ah, ah, ah" is now being used on kiya every time she barks by no other than avi. that little goober is pretty smart and i'm sure the two of them will be inseparable as the years pass!
