fingers crossed...

well, after almost eleven years on ellwood, it looks like the run is coming to an end.  we will be moving - at least that is the hope!  we have so many fond memories of this place and the only reason we are leaving is b/c we've out grown it.  the house currently has 1800 sq feet and avi's stuff takes up about 1600.  harshna has the remaining 200 and i have some stuff out in the shed in the back yard.

funny how life changes!  when i bought this house, we had a killer bar in the back room of our house - it was called close enough.  it was the best kept secret in the fan for an after hours party spot.  many of nights, the lights would come on around 1:45 am at some bar, we would hear the words "last call", which was immediately followed by - close enough for the after party! today, close enough is a room full of avi's toys...

i know, my man card has been long revoked.  well, hopefully that is all about to change.  we recently put an offer on a house and the sellers has agreed to the terms.  we have a closing date tentatively set for march 31st and had the home inspection this past wednesday.  fingers crossed that the seller agrees with our inspector and addresses a few issues.  if they do, we will be moving in soon...this house has 4000 sq feet!  avi has already claimed 2400 of those sq feet; harshna has 1400; and i have 200 - how 'bout them apples!  who says i can't negotiate!

its not often that nital gets a chance to come and visit...when she does, avi loves hanging out with his massi. perhaps its because of the undivided attention she gives him or because she always seems to be bearing a gift for him when making the trek from san francisco! 

 

whether they are reading thomas the train, playing with his brio train set or just smiling for the camera - he always has a blast when she visits...if only we could see nital more often!  she left this morning and we hope to see her soon!  

speaking of visitors, my aunt and uncle for north carolina were also in town this weekend.  we met up for breakfast this morning...avi is so talkative these days and never seems to be at a loss for words.  he just loved playing with his probir dadu...they chatted away about trucks, dinosaurs and balls; this was frequently interrupted by my aunts or my mom trying to steal a hug or a kiss...

once we got home, we took kiya to the dog park (long overdue!) and enjoyed the nice weather...hopefully, we will have more days like this; however, i believe i heard that more snow may be coming this wednesday!  boy, i would have never thought snow is something i wouldn't be looking forward to you...
