mother's day has always been about my mother and this year was mine and avi's first to celebrate harshna being a mom! it was quite an interesting situation to be in, as both ladies clearly deserve thier own individual spotlight! however we had to find a way to show them both how much they mean to us and how thankful we are for having two loving and caring moms in our lives! lil avi may not know it at this very moment, but he will come to find out exactly how much his mom loves him as he grows up...needless to say the two of us racked our brains to come up with an idea that both of our mothers would enjoy. i suggested a grand breakfast, but avi wasn't up for all of the work. he suggested wine tasting, which was a brilliant idea - so, we surprised the moms by heading to james river winery (www.jamesrivercellars.com) in ashland. it turned out to be a wonderful day as the weather was really nice and we shared a bottle of the james river red, while sitting outside in the sun - just the five of us! happy mothers day moms!
